Collectively over the past 20 years, VSF members have made over one million dollars for spec script sales and work for hire sales, including; A Showtime movie. A featured movie at Sundance Film Festival. A feature film, Sunshine Cleaning, with national theater release. Independent Film releases. A stint at Second City Chicago Writing School. A writing assissant to a Saturday Night Live producer. A national PBS documentary. Screenplay sales, script for hire work and options by major Hollywood studios and production companies.Numerous awards and prize money for winning screenplays
in national screenplay competitions. Members who now teach film writing at the Universtiy of Richmond and the Unversity of Virginia.
